A TON NOM (2001)
Damien's first book contains poems, lyrics - both published and unpublished - and anecdotes from his life.
Extract from A ton nom:
"Quand j'étais enfant, un soir où la lune était en papillon, je me suis endormi avec mon père. J'avais déjà quatre ans. Mes parents n'étaient plus ensemble. Nous habitions dans le Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, au dessus d'un bar. Au milieu de la nuit je me suis réveillé; mon père n'était plus là. Il n'y avait personne à côté de moi sur le matelas posé au milieu du salon qui nous servait de chambre. J'ai cherché ma culotte. Je m'en souviens comme de ma première fille. J'ai cherché partout cette culotte. Je n'ai même pas allumé la lumière, j'ai juste cherché instinctivement cette putain de culotte, puis j'ai suivi la panique qui m'a d'abord emmené à la porte puis à l'escalier. Nu, j'ai traversé le bar. J'ai demandé aux quelques poivrots qui étaient encore là s'ils avaient vu mon père, mais je crois qu'ils n'ont rien vu."
"One evening [...] when I was a child I fell asleep together with my father. I was already four years old. My parents were ne longer together. We lived in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, above a bar. In the middle of the night I woke up; my father was no longer there. Nobody lay beside me on the mattress in the middle of the living room that served us as a bedroom. I was looking for my underpants. I remember this like I remember my first girlfriend. I searched these underpants everywhere. I didn't even turn on the lights, I was just looking instinctively for those fucking underpants, then panic took me first to the door and then to the stairs. Naked I crossed the bar. I asked some soakers who were still there whether they had seen my father, but I think they haven't."
AUTOUR DE DEBBIE (2005)
This book is said to deal with the lyrics of the album Debbie but it has never been released.
